What is bulletproof coffee and why you should drink it.


I talk a lot on the subject of Trim Healthy Mama because it has taught me so much about proper, healthy, healing nutrition.

Bullet proof coffee isn’t founded or created by THM but it is used in the eating plan. Why? Because it contains butter and coconut oil which are super-foods, believe it or not.

Benefits of Butter:

Butter consists of butterfat, trace amounts of milk proteins, and water. It supports colon health and surprisingly enough it basically contains the same substance that mothers produce to nourish their babies. Butter is also rich in antioxidants and conjugated linoleic acids or CLA’s. These fight cancer, build  muscles and boost immunity. I haven’t even began to tell you the other healthy and healing properties contained in butter. Read more from the original THM book on page 51.

WOW! So that fake butter is literally robbing you of all these amazing health boosting, life enriching benefits! Your body needs and craves butter. Don’t be afraid of it, crave this stuff. I know I do.

Lets talk about Coconut oil.

Some put it in a blender and whip it up.

Some add a bit of cinnamon and vanilla extract.

Some, like me, add a bit of Stevia because we like it sweet!

Some add MCT oil instead of coconut oil because its like coconut oil on steroids.

There are a variety of ways to make bulletproof coffee but as long as you have the butter and oil, you are on the right track.
